Using Janroe’s signature style of combining keepsakes and poetry, she created Self Control– a delicate 7.25 x 5.25-inch piece made of dried flowers and typewritten poetry on tracing paper as an inward look on trust or rather, distrust. Humans often tread a fine line between freedom and fidelity; pleasure and pain, and self-confidence normally gets hit badly and withers away.
