Janroe Cabiles (b. 1994) is a writer of fiction and poetry known for her rustic framed pieces of typewritten words and beautifully preserved wildflowers. Like a compass or tarot cards of sorts, words have always guided Janroe in life –– whether in career or in art. Her emotion-evoking work explores concepts relating to human experiences, specifically the ones involving everyday life, language, and memories: nostalgia, love, regret, and self-empowerment. This is evident as Janroe uses poetry to immortalize her introspections and points of view as a woman, as a part of the queer community and as a flawed but beautiful human.
