Ian Inoy (b. 1996) is a Filipino performance and visual artist whose body of work - an intersection between representation and abstraction, takes the audience to an advocacy-based experience. His art promotes the protection and preservation of the environment, especially aquatic life. By the use of recycled plastic and layers of bright-colored paint, Ian attempts to recreate the life and harmony he sees in the imagery of a healthy underwater world. The drive to promote this advocacy was catalyzed by one of his freediving experiences. He believes that every little effort can impact ocean life protection and it all starts with raising awareness through art forms he loves - performance and visual art.
