Aubrey Caabay (b. 1990) is a visual artist who aims to explore the use of fabric as a subject in painting and illustration. Her body of work comprises graceful representational paintings of women swathe in intricately-ornamented, flowy, fabric. Aubrey has always been fascinated with fabric textures and patterns and how it can be used in her art practice. In the past months, she has been experimenting with the use of resin to incorporate real fabric into her oil pieces. Aubrey’s paintings often revolve around themes of the personal psyche, its ideas, and how it affects the self and its surroundings. She is a BFA Adverting Arts graduate from Far Eastern University in Manila.
